Legal access to the subdivision is along dedicated public easements running from the Mile 118.2 and Mile 120.5 parking lots/trailheads. These easements have a weight restriction (maximum of 1000 pounds gross weight) which limits the trail to small off-road vehicles only. The trails are multi-use by ATV’s, snow machines, dogsleds, people on foot, children and pets during all times of the day and night. Please maintain responsible speeds and control at all times. Be mindful of blind curves and hills keeping to the right side of the trail when possible.
These easements have been improved extensively over the years by the homeowners through use of Homeowner Association (HOA) funds as well as State grants. Numerous volunteer hours by the Homeowners have been put into the improvement and maintenance of these easements. Improvements include ditching, culverts, fabric and gravel, boardwalks, bridges, and matting. Currently, boardwalks and bridges are narrow and do not support the width of vehicles larger than the standard 4-wheeler; i.e., Rangers.
An area adjacent to the subdivision has recently been logged. This area is on Borough property and was accessed by the logger via an unimproved, winter only road. Use of this trail during summer months is not possible due to streams, creeks, wet lands, stumps, and large holes. Believe us, others have tried it and failed.
